Current Seattle Storm head coach Anne Donovan was unanimously selected as head coach of the U.S. women’s 2006 World Championship and 2008 Olympic squads on Thursday. Donovan, who’s been a part of USA Basketball for the past 19 years, was Van Chancellor’s assistant during the 2002 World tourney and 2004 Athens Games.
